Author: Beth Hopkins

Herbal tampons are a way of directly introducing herbs into the reproductive system with the main intention of unblocking the fallopian tubes. They can also beat infections, calm inflammation and introduce a mix of medicinal herbs via the vagina, the beneficial effect of which will move into the uterus and fallopian tubes.

It is thought that the active herbal remedies for blocked fallopian tubes will work directly on the reproductive organs in the pelvis and have the following effect.

* To reduce inflammation of the fallopian tubes
* To promote healing and repair of any damaged areas of the fallopian tubes
* To kill off any unwanted bacteria, viruses, fungus and yeasts
* To soften and break up scar tissue and adhesions

Herbal remedies have been used to combat infertility for many hundreds of years and are becoming more and more popular in the Western world as people seek out alternative ways to treat common problems. Blocked fallopian tubes do not always respond well to surgery which can, on occasions, cause scar tissue to form. Many women have found herbal tampons to be the "missing piece" of their fertility jigsaw. Indeed, there are many testimonials around which seem to confirm that for many, they have solved an insolvable problem.

To make up the herbal tampon, you will need to obtain a special blend of herbs which are precisely formulated for the purpose. You then make up a simple infusion of a teaspoon of herbs to a cup of boiling water and leave this for five minutes. When the water has cooled, it is important to strain the liquid carefully to keep the liquid as clear as possible. Place an unbleached, unperfumed tampon, into the liquid and leave it for around 30 seconds, or until completely soaked. Carefully place the wet tampon into the vagina (this may be a little trickier than normal!). It is recommended that you insert the tampon before bedtime as this will give the herbs the maximum chance of making their way up into the fallopian tubes and ovaries.

The herbs commonly used include Calendula, Goldenseal, Garlic, Red Clover and Dong Quai, amongst others.

Most women who use herbal tampons use them in conjunction with oral herbal remedies and detox-type plans with the aim of rebalancing hormone levels to give the body the best chance of conceiving.
